Rafting is a
wonderful group activity because it not only lets the participants have
fun
together, but it encourages teamwork development as well. It also allows
you to enjoy the great outdoors, and its good exercise for
the body and soul.
Wed like to try to make your planning as
simple
and painless as possible. Planning an activity such as whitewater rafting
can
be very difficult and time consuming, whether youre planning for
just a
handful or for a large group. We have designed this page to help simplify
the
process.
Some of the information here can be found elsewhere on
our
site. Excuse the duplication-- were thinking of you. Weve
also
added some pointers to help you plan your trip. |

You and your group will have
some decisions to make: -Which river, or which section? - Full
day, or
half day? - Lodging: camping, package or hotel?
First, we
suggest
that you print out group organizers hints/checklist
(see
bottom of page) and look it over. |

A few
tips for planning:
- We recommend the
Upper Nolichucky if
everyone is over 12
and looking for exciting whitewater.
- If you have young children or
hesitant first timers, then
try the Lower
Nolichucky.
- Funyaks can add to the
excitement of both trips at certain times of the year.
- Giving a map to each driver
in your group is a good idea,
in case you get split up. A map with directions can be found
here.
